The Karate Kid is a 1984 coming-of-age film directed by John G. Avildsen and written by Robert Mark Kamen, starring Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Elisabeth Shue. It is a martial arts film, and an underdog story in the mold of a previous success, Avildsen's 1976 film Rocky. It was a commercial success upon release, and garnered favorable critical acclaim, earning Pat Morita an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

The game application allows you to play five martial arts training exercises - patience, endurance, courage, perseverance and will.

Patience - use an open and closing pinching motion with two fingers on the chopsticks to capture flies.
Edurance - use the sequence of tilt, tap and swipe combinations shown to move the wooden wing chun dummy.
Courage - tap the screen to initiate the start of the game. The power meter will rotate three times.
Preseverance - Tilt the device forward to walk. The balance meter will show if you are leaning too far to either side.
